The new hotness??

I think I've found some liquid gold.

Its  a new oil blend from my all time favorite place to get oils and things raindrops.

Its called Skin repair blend and I think it might just be filled with awesome.

Lets list 'em
  • Emu Oil - anti inflammatory
  • Calendula - Antiseptic, Antioxidant
  • Carrot - Antiseptic, Antioxidant
  • Hypericum (St. Johns Wort) - anti inflammatory
  • Jojoba - Antimicrobial, consistent to the sebum of the skin
  • Evening Primrose - Antioxidant, Antinflamitory, Hormone Balancing for sebum and skin cell production
  • Sea Buck Thorn - Rejuvenates the mucous membranes of the skin and helps with cellular regeneration.
Now I reckon that sounds pretty cool.
I've mixed it into a serum with Patchouli, Lavender and Sandalwood and it smells divine!

Anyone wanna try it out? I'm using it in my facials and I will also have some to sell. I'm curious to try it out on those with Acne, Eczema, Psoriasis and other skin conditions. So if you'd like to try it out give me a buzz or book a facial HERE

How we make a Fresh Facial

What is a Fresh facial I hear you asking...Well its where you take fresh ingredients and apply them to your face in a facial. At Peachy we use everything from fresh brewed tea to things like Greek yogurt and honey.
We have an awesome example of a Deep Cleansing Facial we did on Chanell.
As you can see for the before pic, Chanell had some blemishes on her chin and lower cheek also her skin look dull and a little sallow. The goal of the treatment was to brighten her skin and help reduce the redness of those blemishes.

We Prepared the fresh products using "Pick Me Up" tea (available at Peachy for only $9.95) which contains Ginger - to increase
bloodflow, Lemongrass - for its anti bacterial properties, Hibiscus - rich in Vitamin C helps to tone and clarify the skin and Calendula - for its skin
calming and cell rejuvenation properties. Normally this tea would make amazing drinking, but when its mixed with Red Clay - which has calming properties, it can create a fantastic masque. We brewed a whole cup so that we could use it for a toner on the skin as well.

Once Chanells skin was properly prepared with a through double cleanse using Mukti Foaming
a
pplied an Enzyme masque to help gently but throughly exfoliate the skin and remove dirt and dull dead skin cells. Our enzyme masque is made from Papaya and is a IN SALON ONLY treatment.
So you'll have to come and visit us at Peachy to have this one

After Steaming for about 10 minutes the masque was removed using a hot towel, we then used the Pick me up tea to tone the skin. After this we applied the second calming Fresh Masque. We also infused some cotton pads with the tea and placed them over the eyes.

After an other 10 minutes of steam, we then massages and infused the skin with Peachy's very own Roshehip and Jojoba oil blend. These nourishing oils are able to assist with the rebalance of the Sebastiano (oil) flow on the skin and help to balance out hormonal breakouts.

You can see in this after photo that the redness in the blemishes on Chanells chin and cheeks has dissipated, her skin looks brighter and we also gave her a little lash and brow makeover while she was relaxing. Making her lashes look plumped up and defining her brows.

How to do a great Facial at home!

Most of us know that taking care of your skin is really important and having a monthly in salon facial at
Peachy great way to keep your skin looking at its very best. When you come in for a facial your therapist can identify any problems areas and provide you with personalized advice on keeping your skin look amazing.
Having a facial once a month is all well and good but what can you do the other 3 weeks of the month to help keep your skin looking great?
A weekly facial at home will help to maintain your look and get any of those problem areas under control. So what do you do?
Its easy there are 5 steps to having a great facial at home.
  1. Cleanse - Using your usual cleaners (either Mukti Cleansing lotion or Gentil Foaming cleanser) Its really important to make sure that you have a clean canvas, if you don't then any products that follow will be wasted. Make sure that you have removed all your makeup including your eye make up (want a great eye make up remover try Mukti Anti-Oxident Facial oil)

  2. Exfoliate - Exfoliation is really important, removing those dull dead skin cells that are on the surface of the skin helps to reveal the glowing and fresh skin underneath. For a home exfoliant try grinding up a 50/50 blend of plain rice and rolled oats in a spice grinder then mix with your usual cleanser.

  3. Infuse - Dull dehydrated skin is one of the main problems that skin suffers from, once you've exfoliated it's important to infuse into nourishment into your skin. Try Peachy's Rosehip and Jojoba oil or Mukti Anti-Oxidant Facial Oil. Pat the oil into the skin, rolling and pressing to help infuse the oil into the skin.

  4. Masque - A masque at home can be very relaxing and it helps to infuse the oil into the skin, try a clay masque if you have congested skin or use some ground rolled oats and green tea if you find that you suffer from redness. Find the time to soak in a hot bath (the steam will help your infusion) and relax back and let the masque.

  5. Nourish - Once you have removed your masque, you can use your usual moisturizer and mix it with some of the oil from your infusion to help provide the most nourishment for your skin. Once again rolling and gently pressing the moisturizer into the skin means that you aren't over stretching the skin.
So you can see that there are 5 easy steps to getting your skin looking its best at home. It's still really important to come in and have a professional skin analysis to make sure that you have the right products and a regular facial will help to make sure that your skin is on the right track.

Stay Peachy!
